Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Stuffed sopapillas, Christmas style were excellent. The heat level was a bit too much for me but the Chile Verde was really special with a ton of chiles. Salsa was good but guacamole was under seasoned a bit. Overall great though.

I have been coming to Mariachis since they were at their old location. It is always quiet and they are never crowded. It's perfect, because my grandma is in a wheelchair and I never have a problem sitting her. There for is delicious and have never had a problem with my meals!

We had a decent little dinner here during our drive from Albuquerque. We stopped for dinner and the service was friendly and quick Coming from California I eat a lot of authentic Mexican food and it was about average, nothing to write home about. However the service was good and we had a pleasant meal before hitting the road again. Perhaps I just didn't order the right dish to give it the 4 or 5 stars but it was decent enough to be 3 stars.

This is my all time favorite restaurant to eat at, just because it's never packed like other restaurants. Not to forget the service is always good. :) I can not doubt that. I love the chips and salsa, the food, and the environment. It's good to come here anytime, you'll be surprised to see there not that many people here but I promise you will enjoy! :D nom nom nom

This is my all time favorite restaurant in Las Cruces, we have been coming since they were at the old location in Mesilla. Great food, try the Green Chile Enchies.

Piss poor service, the server was a complete and udder idiot. The food was good even though it wasn't what I ordered. The staff needs better training to answer customers questions. Don't waste your money on this place. Go to Andeles in Mesilla.

Amazing salsa!! Delicious queso! The stuffed sopapias are the bomb! Get them Christmas style. You get the best of both worlds. The red sauce & chili Verde are outstanding. The best fajitas beef burrito in the U.S. hands down. Eat here or just go hungry!!

There are a plethora of Mexican resteraunts in the mesilla valley, every one has it's specialty or dish that it is best known for. If you like rellenos it's Chope's, if you like chile con quest it's El Sombrero, if you want tacos it is or sadly was Princess. If you want to have everyone enjoy the food no matter what they order, it's Mariachi's. The red sauce is THE BEST in town, not tomuch salt or garlic, not too thick or too thin! I rarely eat the rice at other places but it is magic, not too wet or too dry or too sticky, no peas or other veggie additions to make up for the mediocre texture/taste. My favorites are Steak Tampiqueña, Red Enchiladas, Juevos Rancheros, chimichanga, and the Taco plate. I have had everything on the menu & don't reget it, not one bit! I hope you too will enjoy my pick for the Best Mexican Resteraunt of the Mesilla Valley!

A short walk on sidewalk from TA, Pilot, or Peterbilt dealer. On a slow Thursday middle of raining afternoon (yeah, who knew it rained in NM?), service was friendly and fast. Beer was cold. Chille rellenos plate was really good. Casual with baseball game on the wall TV.

Great food and excellent service. Consistent menu. We go often. Try the machaca and the burritos are a great deal!

Although Los Mariachis is a little out of the way it well worth the trip. I've been here a couple of times and have not been disappointed. The service is excellent and the servers are always friendly, cheerful and helpful.

I like to eat at Los Mariachis because of its excellent green chili sauce. I ordered an omelet with green chili. It was excellent as were the hash browns and tortillas. However my friend's pancake, eggs and sausage were a disaster. The pancake was burnt black, the sausage was dried out and the scrambled eggs did not resemble scrambled eggs. The service was good enough and friendly. It would be food to avoid this restaurant unless you are a big fan of green chili and green sauce..

The two stars are for the chips/salsa and the Rellenos, both of which are really good. The rest of what we ate was mediocre. The red sauce tastes quite a bit like the red enchilada sauce from a frozen dinner. If that's your thing, this is your place. We got seated in a side room because the main dining room was nearly full. Our waitress never checked on us, and I constantly had to get up and track her down. That sort of thing automatically deducts a star or two in my opinion. I would give them 2.5 if I could, but erring on the low side because their rating is inflated.

I never had a chance to try Los Mariachis while it was previously located. We met friends there for lunch today. Our friends had breakfast plates and were satisfied with their choices. My wife had a taco salad with shredded beef which she thought was excellent. I had the stuffed soapapillas with ground beef and green chili. They were good, but I have had better in Las Cruces. Service was very good. Definitely would return.

Not very good food. I ordered chicken enchiladas, the sauce was good to meet with very poorly prepared. It was almost like ground chicken the Mariachi band was good in my experience there are much better restaurants in Las Cruces
